Remember when I bought Victory? Well, after moving to Seattle, I just wasn’t driving him enough. I take the bus to and from work. After posting him up on Craigslist, I sold him, which was bittersweet. On one hand, I opened up some space in our garage for storage by selling him, and I’ll be saving ~$100 a month on insurance and taxes (plus the cash I got for him). On the other hand, he’s a bit of a collector car. I’ll likely never be able to get one like him again.
I sold him to a very nice retired couple up in Marysville, WA. The wife of the couple wanted a car that was cute to run around town in. The husband was retired from the Navy. They seemed like terrific people, and I’m sure they’ll give Victory a good home. They even liked that Duffy was on the license plate bracket! 😉
Afterward, a dear friend let me cry on him for awhile, which was necessary and important. Then, we spent the cold and rainy day watching movies and wandering around to help take my mind off things.
