I keep getting new “friends” on LJ who are Russian. I wouldn’t mind this if these folks would be so kind as to drop a comment or something saying why they’re friending me. They don’t, though, and there’s nothing I can read on their LJs to let me know what led them to me. I remember when LJ was invite only, and this sort of thing didn’t happen.
But, I’m getting exposed to all sorts of fun soft-core Russian porn. 
Like this, this, and this. Those LJs also have some interesting artsy pieces, too…which really makes me wonder what their purpose is, who they are, and why they friended me.

I’m told that this is a form of spam that’s happening. Perhaps info-surfing? Anyway, I am disturbed by it too and have filed a complaint with the “new” member rep. ROFLMAO

Sometimes I think it’d be a nice feature remove your name from other LJ users’ friends list. Although the pics aren’t too bad on this one. I have a “friend” who’s some punk kid going to my high school. He’s posted once, I never friended him, but I always forget who it is when I’m managing my friends list.

Those russians are bots.

Looks like 2 out of 3 of those that you linked have been suspended already.
ricadempsey is one of over 2000 that i have reported, but jaclyn_mcallist was already dead when i found that username a week ago.
