So, it’s now 100% confirmed that I will be going to Taipei in August for work! Yay!

There was a brief, fleeting opportunity to go to Beijing before or after, but it turns out that (unsurprisingly) the Chinese consulate is backed up for visa requests and is basically not accepting anything until after the Olympics. (Previously, China didn’t require a visa for most visitors, but in anticipation of the Olympics, they implemented a mandatory visa policy.)

S’alright…Taipei will be AWESOME. I arranged to stay one extra night so that I’ll have a day to tourist a bit. I’m thinking I might go to the Taipei zoo or maybe check out some hot springs!
