I do love how Wii Fit inserts your other Miis into the games when they need tertiary characters. Last night when I was doing Super Hula Hoop, my dad and my DH were tossing me hoops. When I was doing soccer heading, Sawyer (from the TV show, Lost) was the first in the line to kick a shoe at me. My mom was the first to kick me a panda head. My mom was also doing Basic Step next to me. Dennis Rodman often joins me for step, too.

* I’ve gotten addicted to Google Reader. It’s like an f-list with infinite friend possibilities.
It doesn’t talk back, though, which is why I still need LJ.
* My DH snagged me a luxury hot tub on Webkinz earlier today.
* Transitioning at my new job is going swimmingly. I listened in on a meeting related to my new job this morning (at the way too early hour of 6am).

(Yes, I’m really tapping the brain trust today.)
1) When you put on pants that have a zipper and a top button/latch/hook, which do you fasten first, the zipper or the button/latch/hook? (Feel free to include an explanation of why if you have one)
2) I have 3 pairs of green pants, all in different shades of green. (To stave off the possible joke, none of them are jeans.) I’ll list the shades below, with HTML color codes for further clarity. What I want to know is what I can or can’t wear with each of them. For example, should I avoid wearing the color green?
2a) light grass green cargo pants (#33FFFF)
2b) dark green dress pants (#336666)
2c) cotton gauchos in a camo green (#666633)
Question 1 is going to resolve a bet between my DH and me. Question 2 is because I love all of these pants, but I’m puzzling whenever I go to wear them over what matches, so I end up not wearing them.

If you have to choose between AT&T and T-Mobile, with the following notes in mind, which one do you choose and why?
1) the phone availability is irrelevant (that is, you aren’t going to get to choose what phone you have, so which phones each carrier has doesn’t matter…to put a finer point on it, don’t pick AT&T because they have the iPhone)
2) cost of service plan is irrelevant

The Phoenix lander twitters about its Mars experience. It is terribly cute how it talks about itself.

Our Wii Fit arrived today. Hula hooping is more aerobic than you’d think.

This is a brilliant idea. I know Pancake would appreciate it!

As promised, I’ve posted some pictures from my graduation from Tulane (from 8 years ago) in the Gallery (clicky clicky).
(Speaking of nostalgia, I’m pretty sure this person is the same Natalie who was my freshman year roommate and throughout-college friend. I know that this is Paul’s site (because he linked me there). I’ve lost track of Jon. Sam & Andrew are both still in my circle of friends. So, that’s that.)

There was an unexpected consequence of our basement flood from long ago. When the flood clean-up was happening, the servicemaster guys took down our doors and propped them up in the storage area. Well, apparently the wood from the doors had absorbed a fair amount of water, because when we pulled out the doors to re-hang them, the bottoms were moldy and swollen.
Our insurance is perfectly willing to cover this newly found damage (yay for Allstate), even though it’s been well over a month since the last repair was done and 6 months since the flooding. However, we need to get an estimate, and I have no idea what kind of service person to call for this. Carpenter? General Contractor? Handyman?
Any ideas?

I realized while faxing off some transcript requests that today is exactly 8 years from my graduation from Tulane. At roughly this time 8 years ago, I was trying to get cooled down after walking all over the place in a way-too-hot graduation robe and way-too-pointy shoes. If I think about it tonight, I’ll add some pictures from my graduation to the gallery for nostalgia’s sake.
You know what’s even more nostalgic? My division of Tulane doesn’t exist anymore. The School of Engineering was disbanded and re-organized into the liberal arts colleges following Katrina. There was a student and faculty Save Engineering At Tulane campaign. I may have linked to it from here before, back when it was active. That Engineering school got Tulane more funding than their ridiculous football team ever did, but yet the football team remains, and the SoE is gone. C’est la vie Americain.
