They ripped up all the carpet downstairs, which necessitated cleaning everything off of the furniture. They gave us tonight to clean off the big shelving unit (we have too many games!! and too many trophies!!), and tomorrow, they’re coming back to disassemble the big unit and rip the carpet that is under it. They’ll also be stopping by daily to check on the humidity and determine eventually if our drywall needs to be replaced.
“They” being the restoration service that our insurance company has contracted for the job. So, Scott is staying home tomorrow to let them in. I’m flying back out for business on Wednesday, so I’ll be home on Wednesday morning to meet with the plumber and the carpet people. The village of gurnee is also stopping by (not the entire village…just a representative of engineering) to inspect those windows that we had replaced long, long ago.
